Joel Meyers, Colorado Cosmetic SurgeonAs director of the Meyers Aesthetic Center and its affiliated skin care division, Joel S. Meyers, M.D., has been at the Eye Care Center of Northern Colorado since 1992. He is specialized in cosmetic and reconstructive eye and facial plastic surgery, and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also specialized in oculoplastics and is the only specialist in the region to routinely perform reconstructive tear duct surgery. Dr. Meyers graduated with distinction and summa cum laude from the University of Colorado at Denver with a bachelor of arts degree in biology. He went on to earn a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Meyers served as chief resident and completed his residency training at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Queens Hospital Center in New York. He also taught at the University of Arizona Medical School, where he received his fellowship training from the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. This fellowship program is one of few nationwide certified by the American Society of Ophthalmic and Plastic Reconstruction Surgeons.
