Blepharitis is the term for eyelid inflammation. While it will not cause permanent vision damage, it can be quite uncomfortable and unsightly and is a common contributor to dry eye disease.

- Red eyes
- Itchy eyes
- Swollen eyes
- Light sensitivity
- Watery eyes
- Misdirected eyelashes
- Burning eyes
Treatment for Blepharitis
- Antibiotics
- Steroid creams or eye drops
- Artificial tears
- Treating or eliminating the external causes
In addition to these treatment options, the eye area should be regularly cleaned with a warm wet washcloth.
