Liz Erley, O.D.

Dr. Liz Erley wanted to be an Optometrist since she was ten years old and it was on one of her frequent visits to her engaging Optometrist that Liz proclaimed she wanted to be an eye doctor when she grew up and has never looked back.

She began her career working in top optical shops on Michigan Avenue in Chicago where an idea formed for owning and managing her own premier optical boutique. She ultimately realized this dream when she moved to Colorado and opened Wink Optical, a high end boutique eyewear shop, in Boulder Colorado with her husband and partner Brian.

She sold Wink Optical in 2019 and retired until she found an opportunity to collaborate with Eye Care Center of Northern Colorado to create a brand new state of the art dry eye practice.

Her passion is to help patients who suffer from Dry Eye Disease since she too is a dry eye sufferer and has benefitted from new and available treatments.

Dr. Liz, (as many of her clients call her) received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, where she was class president during all four years of her study. During that time she also interned for the very same eye doctor who first fascinated her with Optometry as a girl.

Liz and her husband Brian make their home in Lyons Colorado where she has been actively engaged in her adopted community including serving as Chair of the Lyons Community Foundation during the Flood of 2013, helping to build a new library in Lyons and helping to create a Creative District in Lyons Colorado. She has served on past non profit boards in and
around Boulder County. Liz takes great joy in volunteerism and is always looking for her next opportunity to help her community thrive.
