I am Jane Wolford, and I am one of the optometrists here at the Eye Care Center of Northern Colorado. I am in charge of consultative optometry and dry eye. My husband and I live in Longmont and have since 1988. I have 22 children; not by birth, but we have had exchange students over the years. We have a very large family spread across many continents. I care about people; I mean I have a pretty empathetic personality, so it really was taking care of people that drew me to medicine in particular. I worked for an optometrist when I was in high school, and it was a perfect fit. I grew up knowing how important it was to be treated well, to feel as though your voice counted, so that is how I treat all my patients. I try to listen as much as I can.
