Group adds third fellowship-trained glaucoma subspecialist

LONGMONT, Colo. – Mansi Parikh, MD plans to join the Eye Care Center of Northern Colorado, with a projected start date of December 1. She is a fellowship-trained, board certified ophthalmologist with an expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma.

“She’s a very high-quality individual, and a good fit for our group,” said Joel S. Meyers, MD, president and CEO of the Eye Care Center.

Dr. Parikh completed her undergraduate studies at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA, and earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Parikh finished her ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago, IL and then completed her glaucoma fellowship at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in Iowa City, IA.

Following her fellowship training, Dr. Parikh spent eight years teaching and working at the Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, OR. She then worked at Kaiser Permanente Largo Medical Center in Upper Marlboro, MD for two years.

She will join Micah Rothstein, MD, and Anjali Sheth, MD, in the clinic’s glaucoma service.
